To keep it brief If you're someone like me that can comfortably palm grip a viper mini but wanted a bit more in terms of ergonomics, the XD5 is a serious contender in the wireless market I think a lot of people are sleeping on.Clicks be CRISP, Kailh 8.0's have quickly become one of my favorites, none of that soft and mushy feeling you get from Razer's optical switches, and you can rest easy knowing these are some old cheap omrons that'll start double clicking next week cause you chose the pay the Logitax.Only complaints are the stock feet are a bit scratchy, and the charging cable is effectively proprietary as I've tried just about every cable I own and none of them fit. For $60 however, I am more than willing to excuse this as replacement skates are both cheap and not proprietary, and the cable is still USB-C which cannot be said about the GPro, Superlight, and Viper Ultimate with their disgusting Micro-USB cables in current year.I'm also just very fond of the intellimouse shape and look, even though this is quite a slimmed down version my consumption of white Monster Ultra has increased exponentially. The xd5 is a fantastic mouse especially for its price. Sensor is great, 3370. Switches is kaihl 8.0 which is by far the best implementation of the 8.0 that ive tried, and ive tried a few(OOX,xm1r,xlitewireless). Side buttons sounds and feels great aswell. Not heavy like the one boardzy reviewed(probably just a quality control issue on his copy). No creaking, flexing or rattling. Rgb is just a bonus. I wouldnt mind fantech to remove the rgb cause rgb is not important at all. Badge is so small too. Looks really neat. Now for the con. More of a nitpicking. The mouse is just a little and very little back heavy but definitely wont affect your gameplay, and because the back panel is removable, i just use it with the back removed.Handsdown, a great mouse for the price. For 60$ sometimes 55$ youll get a mouse that feels and plays like a 150$ mouse. This mouse would be endgame and main for me, but holding back due to lousy skates (copy of intellimouse skates). If they work on the skates, my hunting for the mouse ends here. Ergonomics is excellent. Shape and size perfect with midsize palm. Sensor is amazing. Weight is perfect. Please, please fix the skates! The mouse quit working less than 4 months in. Worst electronics customer support I've ever experienced. Would NOT recommended buying this product unless you want to waste money.A lot of people will overlook this mouse, which is a shame because this mouse is great. This is a lighter, smaller, wireless version of the Intellimouse Pro Microsoft should have released a while ago, but I’m glad Fantech did. If you’re into ergo mice, get this mouse. If you’re not into ergo mice, get it anyways. I’ve owned this mouse since Nov. ’21 and it is definitely in my top 3. Kailh 8.0 switches sound/feel amazing in this mouse. I own a XM1r and the 8.0s on the XD5 sound/feel noticeably better on the XD5 for me. Top tier PixArt 3370 sensor performs as it should, giving you top tier performance on a wireless mouse, which is not common… at least yet. 72g feels just right, although the weight could have been better distributed as it is a little heavy in the back. Scroll wheel feels nice, but some more tension would have been much appreciated. The width is perfect for me and has a nice grip to it. Side buttons, in my opinion, should have been pushed more towards the front. I feel like my thumb has to go too far back to click MB5. It’s something that you get used to and I wouldn’t consider it a deal breaker. MB5 sits flush with the shell, while MB4 protrudes a bit more, which I found odd. Stock feet feel fine and glide well. I should also add that the XD5 comes with an extra set of feet, which is always a plus. Speaking of extras, the XD5 comes with a set of grips, which feel odd. The grip is almost nonexistent and it almost feels like leather. I normally use grips to prevent oil stains on the shell and not so much for grip, so it wasn’t a huge deal for me. Battery life is very good, not the best, but you won’t feel like you’re having to constantly charge it. The XD5 is light on the RGB, which could be a good or bad thing for you. I personally appreciate the subtleness of it and color is diffused well (at least on my copy). I also appreciated the small Fantech logo, with no RGB, on the rear of the XD5, which gave it a more minimalistic look.Fantech did a great job with the XD5. A few improvements here and there and this would be the perfect mouse for me. Great clicks, looks sexy, top tier sensor, lightweight, comfortable, and great battery life makes for a great mouse, which it is. For $60, I would recommend the XD5 over other wireless mice like the O-/D- wireless any day of the week, hands down.Pros:-Ergo shape is super comfortable-Sensor 3370 is very good/responsive, great tracking, no spinouts-Buttons feel just right, with right amount of post travel so that your fingers don't feel like they're hitting a brick wall-Software is easy to navigate. RGB, DPI profile, LOD and more are all customizable-light-skates are goodCons:This is an honest review.-I did have a bit of a creak on the thumb side of the mouse while squeezing the mouse.-The battery could be much better imo. I had all RGB off, and the battery probably died in around 30-35 hrs of use.Customer service was friendly and fast to respond. They will gladly help with any issues you have. Overall this is a decent mouse. It is still cheaper than the Glorious wireless mice.Very good quality on this mouse. I do question some of the design decisions of the mouse, but overall pretty solid. This is definitely for smaller hands. I have 20.5 x 10.5 and this mouse doesn't fill out my hand like the OOX or Xlite. You almost have to fingertip it which is still kinda awkward due to the shape. Can definitely recommend for a smaller handed we ergo user.
