What I wasn't expecting is that there isn't nearly as much gold as I thought there would be and I love that!Works good only reason for four stars in the back of pad starter to crack after less then a week , does not effect use just unsightly .I use it everyday at work and I love it.This is on my desk at work, is comfortable and looks great!I love the look and it’s comfortable!Feels great and adds a little decorating touch doing boring work! I kept coming back to this one because of the ombre color, which I'd call a soft robin's egg blue or Sleeping Beauty turquoise blue, but certainly not green. It is not teal or aqua, as it doesn't have that much green in the color. The fabric is oh so soft and silky, and a real pleasure to use. But with any fabric of this type, it could snag if your mouse has a sharp spot on the bottom, or the cat kneads its claws on it: a hazard for some of us. The wrist support is plump and has a wonderful soft gel that provides excellent support and maintains its shape, no matter how long your wrist is resting on it.I chose the medium size (about 9.75 in. long and about 9 in. wide), and it's perfect. The medium size is a little bigger than a dessert/bread plate, with a nice curve to its shape. The surface area for your hand and mouse is plenty roomy, although if you are male with large hands, or use a very large mouse, you would probably prefer a larger size. I liked the look of the rectangular option, but my work space is a little too compact for that size. If you know that you like a larger mouse pad, then go for a larger size.Some reviews talked about the backing being a little tacky. So I left the protective plastic on the back of the mouse pad, and that resulted in the mouse pad sliding all over the desk. When you take the protective backing off, it will be a little tacky initially. But as it sits on the desk, and you move it, the tackiness disappears and you have a backing that stays put on the desktop. Yes, it's going to pick up dust, lint, crumbs, etc. initially, so give your desk a swipe to clean it off first. Without the grabby backing, it would slide anytime you moved your mouse.What sold this pad to me is the motivational saying, and you won't go wrong there. I look at the mouse pad all day long as I'm working on my computer, and it is a simple, subtle nudge to get to work towards the life I want to live.I am a long-time Amazon customer. The style is so cute and the fabric is durable.I'm not sure if this is defective item or an issue with the product design, but within a week of recieving the mouse mat the gel wrist support was deforming and not supporting my wrist. When opened, it was initially quite hard and did not soften (the temperature here has been warm but not too hot so I don't think that is the cause). So I was surprised that within another week, it had become sticky and was seeping through the fabric cover. I need a wrist support mouse mat to protect myself from RSI, which I had trouble with a year or so back - so it will unfortunately need to be replaced ASAP. Amazing product ????At first I wasn't sure about this mouse pad as I when I have previously used ergonomic pads, I didn't really like them. This one, I don't know if there is something different about it or what, but it feels great and definitely helps my wrist instead of making it sore. Plus it is sooo pretty!
